Privacy Policy
Mint Mobile Detail LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, 2852 E College Ave, Decatur, GA 30030 ("Mint Mobile Detail", "us", "we" or "our") operates the Mint Mobile Detail website, online booking and the detailing services we deliver at your home, workplace or our shop (together, the "Service").
This page explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it and who we share it with. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information described here. Terms used here have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions.
Information you give us
To book a detail or ask for a quote, we ask for information that identifies you or your vehicle. Depending on what you do, this may include:
- Your name, email address and mobile number
- The address where we will detail your vehicle, including the zip code you enter to check that we serve your area
- Your vehicle's year, make and model, and notes about its condition
- Photos you upload with a quote request
- The services, add-ons, arrival time, promo code or gift card you choose
- Whether you ticked the boxes to receive offers by text or by email, together with the wording you saw, the time, your IP address and the page you were on
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Service your browser sends us information such as your IP address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, where you came from, and the time and date of your visit. We record which pages lead to bookings and how far through the booking steps each visit gets, so we can make booking easier.
If you start a booking and leave before paying, we keep what you entered so you can pick up where you left off, and we may email you about it as described under Email below.
How we use your information
- To schedule and deliver your detail, including sending your booking to our scheduling software so the right technician arrives at the right time
- To confirm your booking, remind you about it, tell you we are on the way, and contact you about changes such as weather
- To take your deposit, charge the balance and any tip after the work, and issue refunds
- To answer quote requests and questions you send us
- To send offers and news by email or text, only if you opt in; you can stop at any time
- To measure which pages, campaigns and ads lead to bookings, and improve the Service
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
Payments
Card details are entered into a form provided by Stripe, our payment processor, and go directly to Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. When you pay your deposit, Stripe saves the card so that, after your detail, we can charge the balance and any tip you add. A 3.5% card processing fee applies to card payments and is shown before you pay. Balances paid through our scheduling software go through Urable's payment processor; cash and checks go to your technician.
Service providers
We use third-party companies to run parts of the Service on our behalf. Each receives only the information it needs for its job and is bound by its own contract and privacy policy to use it for that job and to protect it.
- Stripe processes the deposit you pay online, keeps the card for the balance and tip, and emails you receipts.
- Urable is the scheduling and customer-management software our technicians work from. Your booking details, contact information and vehicle are stored there, appointment texts are sent from there, and balances collected there go through Urable's payment processor. Our gift card shop also runs on Urable.
- Mailgun delivers every email we send from this website, including each campaign listed under Email below, and tells us whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked.
- Our text-messaging provider sends the appointment and marketing texts described under Text messaging below on our behalf.
- Google suggests addresses as you type on the address step, which sends what you type to Google Maps. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads are described under Analytics, cookies and advertising.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Advertising receive the advertising data described under Analytics, cookies and advertising.
- Heroku and Amazon Web Services host the Service and store uploaded photos.
- Sentry receives error reports when something on the Service breaks. We configure it not to send personal information.
We use AI tools to help manage the content on this website and to summarize our own business reports. Those tools are not given your name, contact details or payment information.
Analytics, cookies and advertising
Cookies are small files sent to your browser and stored on your device. We use our own, first-party cookies to:
- Carry your booking from one step to the next
- Recognize a returning visit so we can tell which pages and campaigns lead to bookings
- Show some visitors a different version of a page while we test what works better
Click identifiers. When you arrive from a Google, Meta or Microsoft ad, the link carries a click identifier. We store it with your visit for up to 90 days so that, if you book, we can tell the ad platform that its ad led to a booking.
Tags and conversions. Through Google Tag Manager we load Google Analytics and advertising tags from Google Ads, Meta and Microsoft Advertising. These set their own cookies to measure whether an ad led to a booking and to show you relevant ads elsewhere. We also report bookings from our server:
- To Meta, through a server-side Google Tag Manager container, when a booking is paid
- To Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, as offline conversion uploads that match the click identifier to the booking and its value, and later adjust it if the booking is refunded
Customer lists. We may upload lists of customer email addresses and phone numbers, hashed before upload so the platform cannot read them directly, to Meta (Custom Audiences and Lookalike Audiences), Google Ads (Customer Match and audience expansion) and Microsoft Advertising, so those platforms can show our ads to our customers and to people like them. The platforms act as our processors for these lists, may use them only to match and serve our ads, and never receive your text-message opt-in status. Phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with any third party or affiliate for that party's own marketing.
Opting out. You can opt out of Google's advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com, Meta's in your Meta ad preferences, and Microsoft's at account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings. The Digital Advertising Alliance's optout.aboutads.info covers many other networks. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies or to tell you when one is sent; if you do, some parts of the Service, including online booking, may not work.
Every email we send from this website goes through Mailgun. Service emails relate to a booking or request you made and are sent whether or not you opted in to offers:
- Booking confirmation as soon as your deposit is paid, with what you booked and a link to your booking
- Saved booking about 60 minutes after you leave a booking without paying, with a link back to it, and one more reminder about a day later if it is still open
- Appointment reminder the day before your detail, if you ticked the reminder box when you paid
- Balance and receipt emails when your balance is due, charged or refunded
- How did we do about three days after your detail, asking for a review
- Replies to quote requests and questions you send us
Offers and news, such as seasonal specials and win-back offers, are sent only if you ticked the box to receive them. Every email we send names Mint Mobile Detail LLC and our postal address, and every one carries an unsubscribe link; using it stops every email from us, offers and service emails alike. Our emails may include a tiny image or tracked links that tell us whether the email was opened or clicked.
Text messaging and your mobile number
We ask for a mobile number so we can text you about your appointment: a confirmation, your arrival window, an on-the-way text and any change for weather. These service texts come from our scheduling software, Urable, or from this website's text-messaging provider. Offers and news by text are sent only if you ticked the box for them when you booked. The full program terms, including how to stop, are in the SMS Terms section of our Terms and Conditions.
Your mobile number and your text-message opt-in are used only to send you the texts described here. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with any third party or affiliate for that party's own marketing. The only companies that handle them are the providers that send texts on our behalf.
How long we keep information
We keep booking, payment and refund records for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes, and consent records for as long as we may text or email you plus the period the law requires. Bookings that were started but never paid are marked abandoned and cleared in time. You can ask us to delete your contact information at any time; we may keep records of completed paid work where the law requires it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from email using the link in any message, or reply STOP to any text.
- Ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us below.
- Control cookies and advertising preferences in your browser and with the providers linked above.
Security
The Service is served over an encrypted connection, payments are handled by Stripe, and access to customer records is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the Internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so while we use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Links to other sites
The Service may link to sites we do not operate, such as our gift card shop, review sites and social media. We have no control over, and take no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. Changes take effect when they are posted.
